Brighton

Brighton . "london by the Sea" as it is called. A favourite seaside place in Sussex, distant about 50 miles from London, has a magnificent sea front, and, in addition to the many Londoners who, now make it their residence, is a popular visiting place for those who have to live in town. The fashionable season is in the late autumn. The London, Brighton and South Coast Railway through trains from London Bridge or Victoria do the journey in a little over an hour, and there are frequent cheap day excursions.
