Cleopatras Needle On the Victoria Embankment. this famous monument of granite from Alexandria originally stood at Heliopolis, and was presented to this country by Mehemet Ali, in 1819. It is 68 feet high, and weighs 180 tons. Nearest Railway Station, Charing Cross. |
