Belongs to the Dyers' Company. this Company has, with the Vintners' Company, the right to keep swans on the Thames, each bird being marked with four bars and one nick; and the Vintners' birds are marked with the letter V and two nicks. Hence the tavern sign, "swan with Two Necks. "
