Dyers Hall 10, Dowgate Hill. Belongs to the Dyers' Company. this Company has, with the Vintners' Company, the right to keep swans on the Thames, each bird being marked with four bars and one nick; and the Vintners' birds are marked with the letter V and two nicks. Hence the tavern sign, "swan with Two Necks. "
