Goldsmiths Hall Foster Lane, Cheapside, in rear of General Post Office. was opened in 1835. The Goldsmiths are a very ancient guild, and date from 1180. perhaps before. Were incorporated in 2327. Silver and gold plate are "hall. stamped" here. |
