Kennington Oval


Kennington Oval The County ground of the Surrey Cricket Club, and where most of the London matches of that club are played. One of the sights of London 'when a big match is being played with some competing county or the Australians are visiting England.

At least 20,000 people, mostly men, are to be seen watching these matches with all the interest and enthusiasm cricket excites in Englishmen. Nearest route from the City by Electric Railway, or by 'bus from Ludgate Circus or Charing Cross.
