Kingston Surrey, On The Right Bank. distance from London, 20 miles by water; 12 miles by rail from Waterloo. Railway Stations, Kingston and Surbiton. Derived its name from the King's Stone upon which seven Saxon Kings, from Edward the Elder to Ethelred (ad. 900 to 971), were crowned. |
