Ludgate Hill
Ludgate Hill at the top of which appears the bold west front of St. Paul's (the scene of the Diamond Jubilee out. door service), is perhaps as well known a thoroughfare as any in London. It derives its name from Lud Gate, one of the ancient gates of the City. Nos. 41 and 43, exactly opposite Old Bailey, comprise the City Branch of Chas. Baker & Co Limited, the Stores for Clothing, Tailoring, and Outfitting. |
