Paternoster Row

Paternoster Row is a narrow street close to St. Paul's Churchyard, so called from being occupied years ago by makers of paternosters, prayer beads. etc. , after that it was occupied largely by silk mercers and lacemen; it is now chiefly occupied by booksellers.
