Peabody Buildings


Peabody Buildings Are large ranges of buildings let at moderate rents to the working classes. The funds were provided by Mr. Peabody an American gentleman who resided in London, who left half a million of money for the purpose. A statue has been erected to his memory at the north. east end of the Royal Exchange.
