Piccadilly A splendid street, leading from Regent's Circus to Hyde Park Corner; it contains not only very good shops for high. priced and fashionable goods, hut some grand private residences as well. Burlington House, which contains the Royal Academy of Arts anti other Societies, is in Piccadilly, also Burlington Arcade, Devonshire House, the mansion of the Rothschilds, Apsley House, the residence of the Duke of Wellington, etc. |
