Richmond
Richmond Surrey. on the right bank of the Thames; 15 miles distance from London; half. hour's railway Journey from Waterloo Station. It used to contain the old Royal Palace of Sheen, where Queen Elizabeth died; the Palace stood on the spot now known as the Green. Close by is Richmond Park, about 8 miles in circumference, containing delightful rides and walks, open free to the public. |
