Shoe Lane

Shoe Lane leads out of Fleet Street to Holborn. Near here is St. Andrew's Workhouse, in the burial. ground of which the celebrated boy poet Chatterton was buried. Here are also time printing offices of The Standard and Evening Standard, with an imposing frontage in St. Bride Street close by.
