Stone of Scone
Stone of Scone is a celebrated piece of stone on which the Scottish Kings used to be crowned, and is now contained in one of the Coronation Chairs at Westminster Abbey; it is of reddish sandstone, and is said to be Jacob's pillow. Some of the Scottish people think that wherever this stone is there will be supreme power of Government. |
