Twickenham
Twickenham Middlesex. on the left bank of the River Thames, 17 miles from London by river, 11 by rail from Waterloo. It is a long rambling village, stretching towards Bushey and Teddington; it is practically a suburb of Richmond. The poet Pope died here in 1744. |
