Kings Cross

About Kings Cross

Kings Cross at the corner of Euston and Gray's Inn Roads, is located in the London Borough of Camden and is best known as being the centre of Railway Stations, the terminus of the Great Northern Railway being here and the southern terminus of the East Coast Main Line.

The frontage of this Station is plain, and contrasts very unfavourably with some of the fine buildings and hotels near by, although the area is being extensively redeveloped. The huge span of the arches at St. Pancras Station worth noting. The Hotel and Station were from the designs of Sir Gilbert Scott.

For years Kings Cross has struggled to contain its notorious prostitution and drug abuse problem, but the recent redevelopment of the area has helped to reduce the problem.
