During the last three years ZSL London Zoo has been undergoing a raft of changes to “bring down the bars” and allow visitors to get closer to an astonishing 650 species of animal. Watch squirrel monkeys cheekily clamber on ropes above your heads in Meet the Monkeys, while butterflies elegantly flitter and flutter around you in Butterfly Paradise. Come eye to eye with a giraffe and see zebras, okapis and other amazing African mammals in Into Africa. See what’s new at ZSL London Zoo by visiting two major new attractions. Feel the heat of the South American rainforest and witness marmosets, tamarins and other forest dwellers all living in harmony in one the Clore Rainforest Lookout. Venture into the heart of Central African rainforest in the outstanding new exhibit, Gorilla Kingdom. Here you will journey along a sensational path leading you past African birds and other elusive forest animals before emerging into a spectacular natural forest clearing where you can get closer than ever to a group of western lowland gorillas and black and white colobus monkeys. You can also experience an 'Animals in Action' display - 30 minutes of flying, foraging and leaping action with animals showing their amazing natural skills and abilities. Learning about the conservation of all these incredible species is a central theme throughout your entire visit. Younger visitors (or the young at heart!) can enjoy an encounter with farmyard favourites at the touch paddock in the Children's Zoo. With all this on offer, there is something for everyone.
