As the sun sets, turn your attention to the fabulous nightlife - with over 700 drinking outlets as well and almost as many restaurants and cafes, who cant have a great evening out? Day 2 could be spent enjoying the Royal Mile that connects the castle with The Palace of Holyrood House. It is also lined with fascinating shops and architecture. Alternatively, why not enjoy afternoon tea in the fabulous Balmoral hotel before boarding your early evening train back to London.
