The Tour:

The Lake District is one of Britains most beautiful corners fusing green dales, stark, rocky mountains and spectacular lakees together. Located in North-West England, the region is filled with many of the countrys most beautiful sights. Eminent writers such as William Wordsworth & Beatrix Potter drew their inspirations from this picturesque area of the British Isles and the breathtaking views also inspired Englands most illustrious landscape artist, John Constable

In addition to the fabulous scenery, the lake district is home to a myriad of buildings from ruined castles and writers houses, to ancient churches and Roman ruins.

The high speed train service operated by Virgin trains mean the Lake District is just over 3 hours away.

Your morning check-in is at Euston train station at 6.10am, where you will be met by a Premium Tours representative. By 9.50am you will arrive at Oxenholme in the Lake District and will be transferred to Lake Windermere. There will be some free time to take some photos and explore before enjoying a delicious lunch is a picturesque pub overlooking the lake. There will also be some time to explore the world of Beatrix Potter

In the afternoon you will head off on tour to the very heart of the Lake District including a scenic cruise on Lake Coniston. The first stop is Hill Top, Beatrix Potters home, where she wrote several of her famous childrens stories. Then on to Hawkshead, with its quaint alley ways, 12th century church, and the 16th century Grammar school attended by William Wordsworth, and the Beatrix Potter gallery. In the late afternoon you will journey to Grasmere and the surrounding valleys, where Wordsworth spent most of his life and produced his finest poetry. Finally you will be dropped back to Oxenholme for your return journey home.
