 Farukh Rusimatov, the world-renowned Russian artist, is recognized as one of the premier principal dancers in the contemporary ballet world. A graduate from Vaganova Ballet Academy and a prizewinner of numerous international competitions, he was a soloist of the Marrinsky Theater (the former Kirov Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet) for many years. Prior to coming to the Mikhailovsky Theater, he has been affiliated with American Ballet Theatre. Recently Mr. Ruzimatov has been successfully implementing his own ballet projects.
