Produced by Antenna Audio, this audio guide containing visual images explores the themes and developments of Picassos varied career. It will accompany you through this landmark exhibition displaying works by the old masters on the hand held screen allowing the visitor to make direct comparisons between the paintings which had inspired Picasso throughout his career.
- Go at your own pace and create your own exhibition tour - choose the paintings you want to explore
- View images of Old Master paintings on a handheld screen - compare them with the Picasso works in the exhibition
- Listen to information about the details that interest you - select highlighted areas of the paintings on your screen to find out more
Narrated by Mark Bazeley with interviews from National Gallery curator Chrisopher Riopelle and Anne Robbins and Picasso expert Elizabeth Cowling.
Length:
The Audio Guide will last approximately 60 minutes though visitors can go at their own pace, moving on when ready.
Physical Usage:
The Audio Guides are lightweight devices which can be worn around the neck or over the shoulder comfortably.
Headphones are provided.
There are simple instructions on how to use the guide and staff are on hand to help with any inquiries
Access:
The guides work with most hearing aids and have excellent sound quality/adjustment.
There are written transcripts of the audio available for visitors with hearing impairments, these are free of charge and must be returned on exit.
Induction loops are available.
All audio guides are to be collected on arrival from the Picasso Audio Guide desk in the Sainsbury Wing.
