 Now in its 17th year, the Hampton Court Palace Festival has grown into one of the UK's most exciting music events. In a setting like no other, the newly presented Base Court plays host to an eclectic mix of concerts over 10 nights featuring some of the biggest names from the world of music.
The combination of warm summer nights, picnics in the 17th century gardens and some of the world's leading musicians make for a truly magical and unforgettable experience.
Level 42 took the music scene by storm with their style of bass driven jazz funk that came from the underground soul scene. 1981 saw them breakthrough into the hearts and minds of all soul-funk lovers with Turn it on, Love Games and Starchild and their 1987 album, 'Running in the Family' was a massive international hit and became the band's biggest seller.
Their music has been regularly remixed and they continue to have their bass lines and keyboard melodies interpreted by present day acts. Tonight's concert promises to be an energetic mix of classic hits and infectious tracks.
