 Now in its 17th year, the Hampton Court Palace Festival has grown into one of the UK's most exciting music events. In a setting like no other, the newly presented Base Court plays host to an eclectic mix of concerts over 10 nights featuring some of the biggest names from the world of music.
The combination of warm summer nights, picnics in the 17th century gardens and some of the world's leading musicians make for a truly magical and unforgettable experience.
Brit Award-winning English tenor Russell Watson has performed for the King of Malaysia, The President of the United States, the Emperor of Japan and even the late Pope John Paul II, who requested a private audience with Russell at the Vatican in Rome. The self-styled "People's Tenor", who is also known as The Voice after his first album, has sold millions of records worldwide and tonight will be joined by the City of London Orchestra performing classical pieces such as Nessun Dorma and Nella Fantasia as well as favourites Funiculi Funicula and Volare.
