Poet in the City: Courtly Love

Event location: National Portrait Gallery. Ongoing event.

Indian poetry, music and dance from the palaces of the Maharajahs An evening hosted by Asian Music Circuit director Viram Jasani, features the acclaimed dhrupad singer Ritwak Sanyal, whose songs will be accompanied by musicians playing tanpura and the pakhawaj. The evening will also feature traditional Rajwadi dance which formed an important part of courtly entertainments.
