Café Lenôtre, set in the marvellously-sited Front de Seine Hotel, is one of a small chain of beloved eateries stretching from Paris to Cannes. In this outlet, as in every other, you will find style, charm, modern international cuisine, superb pastries, and coffee worth crossing the Channel for. This particular restaurant is well-sited for visits to the Eiffel Tower. The service is non-stop throughout the day, a welcome detail for travellers. The dishes include veloute of pumpkin with small cheese raviolis to start, main course of chicken curry and gambas with mil spices, and dessert of a really fantastic millefeuille with Bourbon vanilla. Wines have been chosen by Olivier Poussier, voted best sommellier in the world not long ago.
