A huge Victorian warehouse that was once Brick Lane Music Hall is now a funky European café bar specialising in cocktails and imported beers, particularly Belgian beers. Centrepiece of the vast space is a 120-foot central pewter bar above which huge wooden beams span the length of the room. An assortment of comfy banquette seating and sofas surround the bar together with plain wood tables and chairs. The white walls are used for modern art and photography exhibitions. Nice, funky people like to hang out here, especially on Friday and Saturday nights when DJs spin the decks. Lunchtimes see a mainly local business crowd turn up for a quick burger or salad, while dip plates and antipasti - sharing food - are a hit come supper time.
