The Court Restaurant

About The Court Restaurant

The British Museum has several places to eat; our favourite is the Court Restaurant nestling beneath Norman Foster’s colossal glass roof in the Great Court. Located on the upper terrace, it looks directly into the famous Reading Room. Decorated in a palate of greys, creams and stone it blends well with the clean, modern surroundings of one of the world’s greatest museums. The majority of diners are museum visitors mixed with local office workers. The Court Restaurant offers morning coffee, lunches, traditional afternoon teas and, on Thursdays and Fridays, evening meals. Main dishes are a reliable mix of easy-to-please international classics. A range of wines and spirits and experienced, informal service. A quintessentially London landmark restaurant.
