Crouch End may not seem the obvious spot for a gastronomic treat. But Florians has established quite a reputation for its excellent Italian/Mediterranean fare and friendly charming staff to whom nothing seems too much trouble. Outside patio area lends an airy feel and is great for alfresco dining during summer. What’s cooking? Try black ravioli of fresh crab and mascarpone with leeks and cream to start, followed by breast of Breckland duck with rhubarb, honey, chilli and mashed potato or perhaps a T-bone veal steak with sage butter and potatoes a la sassi. For those of you with a sweet tooth, complete your meal with a dish of hot chocolate fondant pudding with cream - delicious.
