About Blakes Restaurant

Blakes Restaurant is set in the stunning new clubhouse of Blakes Golf Club. Now before you click on another restaurant, stop right there. If you assume that golf clubs are all filled with braying oldsters laden with grays then you just have to see Blakes. The restaurant has London-level style and sophistication, but with lovely views over the countryside and the links’ lush green lawns. There are bars upstairs and down, both with a lounge-like ambience, and dancing on Fridays. The award-winning Chef de Cuisine, James Edward Scorer, has practiced his culinary arts in a series of superstarry French restaurants and at The Ritz in London. Here he has created a modern European menu with lashings of French accents, featuring dishes like starter of lobster and orange bisque served with armagnac, main course of pepper-marinated Suffolk venison fillet with summer berries, baby onions and cafe au lait sauce, and dessert of carpaccio of golden pineapple with Indian mango ice cream and lime sugar.
