Forget that they eat chips with mayo - Belgians are some of the world’s great eaters and drinkers, and what they especially love is mussels with beer. Belgian brasserie Abbaye offers first-rate mussels in five different incarnations, as well as a dozen other fish and meat dishes. And as for the beer, well... Abbaye is a haven for fisheaters in trendy, carnivorous Smithfield. Business types lunch here, but the evening brings out the romantic atmosphere.
