Mauritius bar and restaurant in Norbury is one of the few places in London where you can get authentic Mauritian cooking. The Indian Ocean island of Mauritius has produced one of the world's first fusion cuisines, influenced by French, Indian, Chinese and Creole flavours. Sporting a clutch of awards and a colourful décor, with tall potted palms and paintings of tropical beaches, this laid-back restaurant offers a welcome respite from the city. Seafood is a speciality: kick off with Moules à la Créole (mussels cooked with shallot, garlic, ginger, tomatoes and fresh coriander), then tuck into Tamarind Fish Curry. All this and entertainment too, with special events like Elvis Night and traditional Sega dancers.
