Manna ’from heaven’ is this top vegetarian restaurant in swanky Primrose Hill. Renowned for the quality of the ingredients and unusual combinations it attracts customers from far and wide as well as the North London gourmet types. Low key and fun - especially good for Saturday or Sunday brunch when you can grab a table outside or in the conservatory. What’s cooking? Organic tortilla espanola, goats cheese, creme fraiche and coriander basmati rice cake, organic asparagus, pea and lettuce tart and a devilish rich squidgy chocolate cake. Lovely Victorian pub with a balcony bar and a modern open kitchen upstairs overlooking Primrose Hill itself, recently refurbished.
This used to be Kingsley Amis local and is a favourite with many other local residents as well. Whilst we were there we spotted Kate Moss as well, so obviously a place to be seen. Ideal for pre and post dinner drinks at Manna.
