About Ambassade de I’Ile

Ambassade de I’lle is a new restaurant tucked away in the famously francophilic corner of London that is the Old Brompton Road. Home to Gallic gastronomes, Sloanes, art auctioneers and trendy toffs, South Kensington is the ideal venue for this bijou neighbourhood eatery - which is set in a former Edwardian library - and locals love the chichi fresh French food. Ambassade de I’lle is an outpost of chef/owner Jean-Christophe Ansanay-Alex’s Michelin-starred l’Auberge de I’lle restaurant in Lyons; signature dishes from the London kitchen include the ravioli of foie gras and ginger with a port sauce; the stuffed pigeon with mild spices, turnips and sweet and sour tomatoes; and the warm white peach soufflé.
