About Brownes Brasserie

You would need to spend a long time in Dublin to eat your way round all the good restaurants, particularlay in the area around St Stephens Green. We rather slow English have only recently ’discovered’ Dublin and realised how deeply trendy it is. Brownes is housed in a stylishly restored Georgian townhouse which has been sympathetically decorated. The overall feel is romantic, welcoming, relaxing and equally great place for lunch with a friend, a serious business meeting or an equally serious romantic evening out.

Starter

- Carpaccio of venison, served with pousse lettuce & a vinaigrette of chestnuts & morels - £7.95
- Baked goat’s cheese, wrapped in parma ham with marinated plum tomatoes, basil & balsamic reduction - £6.95
- Confit of salmon, on a bed of raw marinated beetoots chive & horseradish cream, quail eggs - £7.95

Main Course

- Roast duck breast, served pink, on a vanilla seed risotto, saute savoy cabbage and orange masala jus - £17.50
- Saddle lamb, stuffed paprika roast with classic piperade, and thyme jus - £18.95
- Oven-roasted monkfish, served on a bed of seafood & vegetables cous-cous, with lemon confit & oriental relish - £17.95
- Sesame scented crepes. filled with creamed wild mushrooms, leeks and blue cheese served with a green salad

Dessert

- Pear and saffron parfait with blackcurrant coulis - £5.50
- Bailey’s creme brulee with peanut butter cookie - £5.50
- Hot chocolate fondant with chilled mango compote and malteser ice-cream - £6.50
