What better reason to re-visit this distinctively urban bar than to make up your mind about its quirky new look of English rococo with a hint of Hoxton? The food’s changed too. It’s even better than before. Antony Cumberbatch’s, formerly of Opium and Red Cube, exciting French Vietnamese all day ’Bold Food’ menu includes delicious dim sum. If you’re in a snacky mood, a one-pot light meal should hit the spot. Business lunchers are already flocking to the main bar and its attention-grabbing a la carte menu. Signature mains include grilled baby rack of lamb with black bean sauce on a crispy vegetable ravioli, and pan fried female duck breast infused with brandy honey and ginger served with Asian pear and bok choy. Check out the cocktails too. You can’t go wrong with Cadmus (Gold rum and passoa passion fruit liqueur sweetened with Koko Kanu and blended with mango and passion fruit purees).
