About Fortnum & Mason

A stone’s throw from Her Majesty at Buckingham Palace, Fortnum and Mason is part and parcel of traditional Englishness and the St James’s Restaurant is no exception. Original oil country scenes and seascapes adorn the walls. Tables are well lit and well spaced. The menu is British through and through and takes advantage of Fortnum’s special suppliers. Not surprisingly, one of the favourite dishes is roast Aberdeen Angus Beef. Wine List of 28 Fortnum& Mason Wines. Afternoon Tea available from 3pm - 5pm daily. What a treat.

Bars Near Fortnum & Mason

Q Bar
12 New Burlington Street
London
W1

This recently opened bar has a Greco-Roman theme, plenty of statues of Greek gods and handsome, young, Italian waiters to whet your appetite. The atmosphere is cosy, and the bar is very opular with wealthy Europeans and besuited men and women. Certain nights are themed, including the very naughty Tequila night on Thursdays. No trainers, and outside tables in the summer.
¬Punch Bowl
41 Farm Street
London

Situated near Green Park tube station, this down to earth and laid back pub is perhaps more suited to the mature drinker who can appreciate an unpretentious atmosphere.
