Kensington Palace

About Kensington Palace

Fit for the 21st of your own princess, or to celebrate the marriage to the king of your heart, or to royally entertain clients, Kensington Palace is a beautiful royal palace and a national landmark. Overlooking Kensington Garden, the Palace exudes glamour and elegance and has been the scene of many historic events - including yours, perhaps?

In the summer months, one could hold a reception in the Sunken Garden for up to 80 people. The gardens are modelled on a Tudor Garden at Hampton Court and are a perfectly-kept example of formal English gardens. Indoors, the Teck Saloon, a royal apartment decorated as it would have been in the 1860s with creamy walls, luxe carpets and panelling and columns, is perfect for smaller groups up to 40 seated or 75 standing. The Red Saloon, so named for its rich colour and opulent design, was used by the young Queen Victoria to hold her first Privy Council in 1837 on the day of her accession to the throne. It holds up to 80 people seated or up to 100 standing.

If you wish you could whisk your guests to a royal residence in the country, The Orangery, set in its own private gardens, will be the perfect setting. Its Queen Anne architecture features huge windows, white panelling and ornate columns decorated with classically-inspired busts and fine carvings. The Portland stone terrace and the lawn are delightful locations for summer receptions, while the Orangery itself holds up to 150 for dinner. Your guests may also enjoy a private view of the State Apartments, if it is wished. A wide list of excellent, approved caterers assures that you will find a menu that is right for your guests and your pocket.
