Good old Queen Anne. Founded in 1711 and now the world’s most famous racecourse, Ascot was all her idea. Ascot stages 25 racing days a year and nine National Hunt meetings between November and April. The Royal Meeting in June is the most famous of these, where top class racing is combined with tradition, pageantry and big hats.
