"Never eat here - you are wasting your time!"

We phoned and booked a table for 7 people at 7.30pm and were told we could be seated at 9pm. This was worked for us as it gave us plenty of time to get there and park etc.
When we got there we were told they had no booking but were very busy, when I spoke to another waiter, he said yes, yes we have your booking , please come upstairs. He then had to clear a table while we all stood in the middle of the floor and were being stared at by the other people eating there.
We ordered both our starters and main but had to wait 1hr for just our starters after constantly asking it's whereabouts. Then we sat for another 40 minutes waiting for our main, when we were told it was on it's way.
Other people who arrived after us were being seated and served including a larger party than ours.
We had had enough and decided to leave, bearing in mind it was so late we would have a chance of eating eslewhere.
The waiter had the check to tell us we had to pay when we told him what a shambles the service was. The manager was sitting enjoying his meal and listening to all this and only when prompted by someone off his table, he got up and said, don't worry we'll cook it all fresh for you now. The joke was they hadn;t even started cooking our main meals yet, cos they were too busy concenrating on their carry out customers and NOT there sitting down customers.
This place is a right pit and should NEVER be visited by anyone!!!!
