To whom it may concern.

As a New Kids fan for many years... I am disappointed that since NKOTB have come back on the scene they have not been given a fair shot at airtime. I feel I speak on behalf of most of the new kids fans when I say that we feel the boys deserve the same opportunities an Take that in that they should also be given airtime.

The boys deserve as much opportunity as those other bands like take that... Take that are everywhere. Since their return, every single they ahve released has been played in the U.S and other countries.. As a country which prides itself on the practice of equal opportunity it saddens me that this apparently does not extend to the music industry. It also sickens me that a young group with as much musical talent as a goose farting in the fog can get a recording contract with such programmes like 'unsigned', yet those groups who are professionals, who had established themselves long before alot of these young british bands were out of nappies, are not given acknowledgement.

People need to face upto the fact that whilst Take that have had their shot... their music is still the same drab, depressing, love sick style that it always was... nothing has changed.

As far as I am concerned it will be only matter of time before the bubble will burst for take that. Despite this People continue to put them on a pedestal. The only reason they have continued as long as they have is because of the amount of airtime they have been given... New kids also have a fan base in the U.K.. New kids were making music long before Take that had even been discovered.

The difference between NKOTB and take that is that whilst take that shunned Robbie Williams who had more talent than the rest of the group put together... New kids have managed to stay a 5 man group... the difference is their respect for one another, their fan base, their hard work determination and commitment. They have earned this, they deserve to be recognised for it. And despite what people might think... the reason that they are still a 5 man group after all these years is that they don't allow their petty differences to impact upon their image as a group... that is what music and being a tight knit band (even after all these years) is all about. A concept which Gary Barlow and the rest of take that know very little about or Take that would still ahve Robbie Williams!!. Cut NKOTB a break... if one radio station starts to give the guys airtime the rest will follow suit. There is one more quality which both as individuals and as a group nkotb have in droves that take that lack .... showmanship!!. And that is without all the special effects, bells and whistles at every gig!!

Cut them a break..

Kind regards

L Monaghan.
