Wow discipline at this school is well over the top. Your child will get dragged across a school hall and have their packed lunch strewn onto the floor if they so much as dare to sit on the wrong dining table.This is on top of being ranted at. Remind your child never to say WOT or WHAT because this angers one particular teacher and she will exclude your child from the class for rudeness. Tell your child they must answer when spoken to the first time by an adult and have respect. The Headmistress runs a tight ship and is very hot but gets excellent results as do the other teaching staff. Yes the procedures used to correct reception children are extreme to say the least but the children learn their boundaries quickly and do learn a considerable lot without disruptive behaviours interfering. Mind you this one particular reception teacher does like order within her class and cannot seem to cope with disorder but the children respond to her excellently eventually.She does like to frequently use the time-out corner. One has to book through the office to see teaching staff definately no open policy here but that works really well in this school as no learning time is wasted before and after school on petty issues. This school takes no prisoners and will and does deal effectively with all negative behaviours. Zero tolerance on bullying which has yet to be witnessed as all the children have close bonds and gell well together in all school years. Make no mistake this school is an absolutely excellent school for anybody looking to build and have their child given a proper and sound education with a fighting chance in the future job market with above average results in all areas. |
