"Evacuated from Ealdham Square WW11"

I was evacuated from Ealdham Square School either at the beginning of the war or just before. We were sent to Devon and were given a brown paper bag containing condensed milk and a couple of other things which I can't remember. My brother and I ended in a school hall where people picked us out like cattle and no-one it seemed wanted to take a girl and boy. We were practically the last to be chosen and it was decided to split another brother and sister up and the 2 girls were taken by a family and the 2 boys taken to a farm where they were badly treated. Anyway I being one of the girls and about 4 years old went to live in a 2 storey house on a hill a little way out of the village. In the village was a beautiful stream where we used to play and have picnics. I would like to know the name of this village so I could visit and I would make a special trip to England from Australia to see it. The firemen were stationed in Ealdham Square school and kept pigs where we could take our food scraps. My auntie met a fireman from there and married him. The school which was 2 storeys had sandbags all around the first storey windows and if there was an air-raid the children were all hussled down there for safety. The village where I stayed in Devon haunts my dreams. Another place we were evacuated to from the school I think was Barrow Green but I don;t know where that was./ Once again we were herded into a school late at night and placed with families. Our family did take the 2 of us but used to make us sit in a tin bath together and I didn't like that as my brother was about 7 years older than me and he probably didn't like it either. The lady in the house used to make us put on our gas masks and sit under the stairs if we heard the sirens. Not too much about the school I'm afraid but part of it's history sending children off for safety. I would be pleased to hear from someone who could help me find the village in Devon.
