I lived in 3 Nazareth Houses (NH) Birmingham, Newcaste and finally Isleworth during my childhood.

and have happy memories of my years at NH. I went to St MAry's RC School in ISelworth wjhere amonstvother subjects we were taught Irish Dancing by Agnes O'Connell. I sang in the choir and enjoyed sports. A good all rounder. As the eldest child for many years, I would help the nuns with daily chores - I loved Saturdays when I would wash the little ones hair and plait into all kinds of styles. The nuns gave me a wonderful foundation in life, that has equipped me with skills that made me want to take up Town Planning and Engineering. I have been a Principal Engineer at Westminster City Council since 1986. My early "independance" also enabled me to live fron age 16 on my own until my marriage in 1980. I am now single again after 15 years happy marrige.

I would love to hear from any one who may remember me. swilliams@westminster.gov.uk. I have been in touch with Sr Joan of Arc, Sr Oliver, and Sr Clair and have visited their NH and been made feel very welcome. I would love to see photographs of me as a child if anyone has any at all.
