A review of Eurosport TV Channel by Phillip Hoyland written on Thursday 6th of January 2011
Hello Eurosport. No, no, no!!!!Please cut out the pointless interviews as seen during the ski jumping. This is the sort of thing the BBC do and it spoils, I think, the whole programme. Banal questions of no real interest do nothing to increase the interest factor. If you have to fill-in then why not interview one of the judges or someone from the host club to explain just how the hill is prepared? If you really must have interviews then put on a dedicated programme after the days competition has ended. It could take in most of the days events. Secondly, being constantly told that
jumper 'x' finished in position 'y', 'z' number of years ago, also grates. This is amplified by the fact that we are not told the position the jumper is in in the current competition. I have taken British Eurosport mainly for the winter sports, in general it is fairly good so please, please, please do not go down the BBC road and end up with more chat than sport. Yours, Phillip Hoyland.
