"Citizens advise bureaux seems inundated at the moment"

I have just been calling my local citizens advise centre and it is proving very difficult to get through even though I tried several times. Are the centres incredibly busy at the moment? It will be easier to go in for the drop in sessions as I may have more chance of getting advise. Is this a sign of the times that people at this point in time need specialised help and guidance? Being in the middle of a recession and with so many negative things happening, doesn't help..
