I've never reviewed anything on the net before, but bored on a Friday at work i googled a few important things,ie scooters, northern soul & my beloved local the Hobgoblin. So all i found was a load of arsey students moaning about this & that, probably buying their cider with daddies money & still claiming the 20% discount!.Well wake up,this is a PUB PUB,a proper local,a sort of Church for the Telegraph Hill community too,we're not all students you know. This place is warm & friendly,i moved here 2 years ago,by the second visit they knew my name & my drink,by 3rd visit i'd met the landlady/commander in chief Adele, the subject of a few less than nice comments on these websites, well Adele is what a landlady should be ie "harsh but fair",i mean i've NEVER seen any trouble in here & it's New Cross after all.Support your local, get involved, lovely crowd,i defy anybody not to make friends in here!.Bar staff are speedy & efficient, fit too in many cases,i daren't mention names here!.DJ's are great,Indie to Rock to Metal to Northern to Funk to Punk, what more could a man/woman want...oh yea jukebox, well thats an 11 outta 10!
