I remember my mum holding my hand and walking me up the long path on my first day of school it must have been around 1959. It was a sunny warm day and everything looked so modern. The school opposite was Holy Trinity and was a Junior school but i did,nt go there i went to Richard Atkins in New Park Road.I remember reading the Janet and John books and the Little Red Hen.Iam sure there was 4 classes and having toilets in the rooms, onefor boys and one for girls.we moved away from the area in about 1974 and have only been back a few times so wonder how much has changed,.
