Court staff at Central London County Court often get rid of callers by saying they have no record of the matter in question and ask the caller to send it in again. I only realized this when I was asked for a fifth time to send in my papers. To be fair to court staff often the matter is with the judge who has just not got around to dealing with it and the staff cannot tell the judge what to do.

One way of dealing with the matter is to ask the member of court staff to write to you confirming that your papers cannot be located in order that you may claim compensation from the court..
