"Re-direction of post"

A review of Royal Mail by Mrs. J Heaton written on Sunday 19th of May 2013

I moved home on 1st March 2013 and decided to have my mail re-directed for 3 months (until 18 June 2013) which cost around £39.00. I was told that the service would take around 5 days to be set up. As I haven't moved too far from my previous address this wasn't a problem - I could pop by and collect any post before the service commenced. However I have found that hardly any post is arriving at my new address and I have had several calls from my previous landlord to collect mail which has not been re-directed. Much of the post is quite urgent especially from my daughter's 6th form college as students are preparing for exams in a few weeks. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of service from Royal Mail. If I moved further away (I live in North London) collecting post from old address would have been impossible. But that is not the point. I have paid for a service - an essential one which I am not receiving. I phoned the Head Office a few weeks ago about it and nothing changed..
