Unfortunately, some postmen chose to leave the larger letters or parcels that cannot be inserted in the mailbox in the common space of the buiding, which means that anyone having acces in the common space could take the parcel or letter that was left on the floor or anywhere in the common space. Obviously, this may cause extreme problems and inconvenience for the adressee or the right owner of the parcel. I suggest that the Royal Mail leadership shoul take measures that such things should not happen and take action against the postmen that behave i such a manner, also by compensating the victim of such a service, respectively the person to whom the parcel or letter was intended. Apparently, there are instructions for the postmen to leave a card in the letterbox, advising the adressee to colect the item from the post office, instead of leaving the item anywhere in the common space of the building, but it seems that they do not always do that. Any person with common sense would undertand that it is not possible to stay on guard waiting for the postman if expecting or receiving such a larger letter or item. Therefore, I suggest that the postman practising such a service shoul be responsible for paying the compensation and damages caused. Let's hope that the decision factors may look into this matter and solve it accordingly..
