"Ted Hargrave former pupil"

A review of Queens Park Primary School by REG HARGRAVEE written on Wednesday 2nd of April 2014

My father Ted was a pupil at Droop Street school from about 1910 and left in 1918 at the age of 14. He received a glowing testimonial from the then Headmaster the original of which I have. I have tried to locate any archive material such as school registers so far without success. It was suggested to me that such material was destroyed by enemy action in WW2 but I am not sure that is correct. Certainly the school went unscathed. So if there is anyone out there able to shed light on the school at the period in question I shall be delighted to hear from them. I am of course aware of the connection with QPR F.C. - my father was a season ticket holder for many years. He died in 1976..
